This role involves delivering scaffolding equipment to construction sites across Manchester, Greater Manchester, and the wider North West region. As an important member of our operations team, you will help ensure materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time to support a variety of commercial, industrial, education, and construction projects.

HGV Class 2 Driver Responsibilities

As an HGV Driver, you will play a key role in supporting our scaffolding operations throughout the North West.

Key Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering scaffolding materials and equipment to customer sites
• Collecting scaffolding materials from completed projects
• Loading and unloading scaffolding equipment safely
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and professionally
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation
• Supporting depot operations on a rotational basis
• Following company health and safety procedures
• Representing Premier Scaffolding Ltd professionally on-site

This role combines driving responsibilities with hands-on involvement in depot and logistics operations.

Working Pattern

Rotational Schedule

The successful applicant will typically work:

• Driving deliveries 3–4 days per week
• Supporting depot operations 1 day per week
• Delivering to sites throughout Manchester and the North West

This varied role provides a balance between driving duties and operational support within our Trafford depot.

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious driver who can work effectively as part of our logistics team.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold:

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence
• Driver CPC Qualification
• Driver Tachograph Card
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good understanding of vehicle safety checks
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable and professional approach to work
• Ability to safely load and unload materials

Preferred Qualifications

The following would be advantageous:

• HIAB Certification
• Forklift Truck Licence
• Previous experience delivering construction materials
• Previous scaffolding transport experience
• At least one year’s experience driving goods vehicles

While not essential, additional qualifications may strengthen your application.
